Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Powerful burner Comment: This is a great burner for the price. Everything worked well and the heat generated was more than I expected. Got so hot it burned the paint off. It heated 5 gallons of cooking oil to 390 degrees in about 25 min and cooked my 12 lb turkey at 370 d in 30 min. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't walk a way from it! Comment: I use this for homebrewing and it brings 6 gallons of wort to a boil in 15 minutes. Seems pretty reasonable on gas use as well. It boils so fast I had a boil over when I just went inside to get my hops. Being outside that was of no concern. Must be as good as burners twice the price. Customer Rating: Summary: SP10 is awesome Comment: Having burned through several burners over the years on low country boils I found myself needing a couple more. I chose the SP10 based on its low base, 360' wind ring, and a massive 185k BTU high pressure output. I had 80qt pots boiling 3x as fast on the SP10 than the old 55k-75k BTU burners. Like some of the others on here, I'm a home-brewer who needed to make the move away from the stove. This burner is excellent for the 5 and 10 gallon boils I do. No complaints at all. In fact, I'm getting ready to get another one of these beasties. Customer Rating: Summary: not as advertised Comment: As I received this product from "Lawn and Patio", one of the burner legs was sticking 6 inches thru the bottom of the original Bayou Classic box. The solution? Put it into another more flimsy box and ship it. Luckily the product itself is quite sturdy and didn't appear damaged. However, I have realized that the unit did not ship with the 20 psi regulator/hose assy, but 10 psi (55000 btu) which has a different end fitting which means I will have to buy more parts to get what I want. At least another $27. The way Amazon does things it is way less than obvious what to do when something like this happens. Usually a lot of effort to get nowhere. I believe the product itself is probably fine. I suggest buying from another vendor not associated with Amazon. More Reviews
