Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: mediocre at best Comment: I bought the weedeater a year ago at a local home improvement store. I don't like dragging an extension cord around behind me so I thought I'd give this a try. I have a 1400sf ranch style home that I trim around, and I trim the curb along the front which is only a little longer than the house as homes here are about 15' apart. I also trim along the driveway which is about 2 car lengths long. The second battery barely finishes the job. Since the charger I got only charges one battery at a time, I have to remember to switch them out during the week so I have two fresh batteries to do my trimming each week. Until I get around to wiring in some outside outlets and go back to using the plug in type weed trimmers I'm making due with this one. I seem to go through more then 1 when usings any of the items before done with a small/medium sized yard. I would purchase again. If looking for a very strong/powerful set of equipment stay with gas! Definately sacrificed power for electric & portability. Convenience of the cordless tool is a plus, as is the included Tool storage. Cons: Need about 3 feet wide of wall space near an electrical outlet for storage of tools and charger (if wall mounted). Weed Eater lacks cutting muscle and auto string feed mechanism could be improved.
