It works fine, I have a input jack on the right of my laptop. For proper use, the sound must be directed into the TOP of the mic. So in order for the person to hear me I have to cock my laptop to the side. It would be much nicer if the angle of the head was adjustable so I sit directly in front of my laptop and people hear me. This one is to "cancel external noise," however, the mic is sensitive enough that it picks up the hissing (sort of like low static) of the little recorder it sits on.
