Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Very useful attachments! Comment: I ordered the Kitchen Aid mixer attachment pack. I have used all of the attachments and they work just wonderfully. I have apple trees and the fruit/vegetable strainer makes applesauce with very little effort. I just cut the apples in quarters and cook them in a big kettle on the stove and run them through the strainer. It takes out peelings, seeds, and cores and I end up with perfect applesauce. It's wonderful! Customer Rating: Summary: A must have for a cooking-crazy person Comment: I used to see my wife wander to the appliance section at the retail stores and hover around this mixer and used to say that one day she will get this, but the price tag of $[...] would keep her from getting this. I researched online for the best price and found one at Amazon.So, I bought this for my wife's birthday and she was ecstatic to see this. It has been working flawlessly ever since. Negative: you might gain few pounds, so search for elastic waist pants Customer Rating: Summary: Good item - if you will use them! Comment: I have used this product, and I have enjoyed using it. The only complaint is with the slicer/grater, some of the food gets stuck between the blades and the attachment, and the food does not get grated/sliced. If this is your main use of the machine - a food processor would work better. The grinder and strainer work great. Apples and pears worked great... all I had to do is cut the fruit into pieces that would fit through the grinder, cooked them down some to become soft, and put them through... the pulp came out free of peel, stem and seeds... how great! I have also used the grinder to grind up venison meat... I did put it through twice, but it worked great. Customer Rating: Summary: This made Applesauce like a pro! I love it! Comment: I used the attachment for making sauce and made loads of applesauce. It worked really well and I'd recomend it to anyone. The price I found here at Amazon was the BEST by far! Customer Rating: Summary: Basically doesn't work Comment: I got this for making applesauce, and it doesn't: the main problem seems to be that the auger doesn't go all the way back, so part of the material gets behind it. That probably doesn't matter so much if it's soft material, but something firm like an apple basically plugs up the feed tube so you can't get more in. More Reviews
