I bought it for myself, but I think it would make a good impression if someone received this as a gift, without being too big and showy. This is a very pretty, subtle but sparkling necklace. The diamonds on the chain take it to a little dressier level, but I still wear this with my everyday dressy-casual look. I will wear it for elegant dress-up when the occasion arises, but meanwhile, I'll get a lot of use out of it, because I enjoy looking sharp, classy, and successful in my daily life. The chain is delicate and therefore tangle-prone, so I'm saving the box to store it in. If I can count, there are 32 diamonds, not 52 as stated in the description.
