It probably would have been better made of metal than plastic. When a loaded drawer is pulled out there's a lot of stress on little plastic pins...especially if you have glass spice jars. As mentioned in previous reviews, they are a tad delicate. You should pull them out somewhat carefully. But overall they work well and stay firmly put on my shelf. I did switch over to all plastic bottles to reduce weight. It hasn't tipped over once. I find this way of organizing spices a great way to see with a quick glance what I have.
